What is Kranky Panky?
Kranky Panky is Guts UK’s annual pancreatitis awareness campaign, taking place every November.
Where did the name ‘Kranky Panky’ come from?
The name came straight from our community. It’s a nickname given to pancreatitis by people living with and affected by the condition. Together, we turned it into a movement. To date, over 210 stories have been shared, from those living with it to families remembering loved ones.
Why pancreatitis needs our attention
Pancreatitis can have a devastating impact, yet it remains critically under-researched and misunderstood. Many people don’t know the vital role their pancreas plays in digestion, let alone what happens when things go wrong.
Guts UK are the only UK charity funding a research fellowship into pancreatitis
Through Kranky Panky, we amplify the voices of those affected by acute and chronic pancreatitis to raise awareness, break the silence, and drive vital funds towards much-needed research.
