November is Kranky Panky Awareness Month. 💚

I’m sharing this because the pancreas is often overlooked, and most people have never even heard of it until something goes wrong. The reality is that pancreatitis has a massive impact on daily life, but it rarely gets the attention or understanding it needs.

It’s time that more people learn about the condition and make sure everyone affected knows where to find more information and support.

I’m sharing this because the pancreas is often overlooked, and most people have never even heard of it until something goes wrong.

My experience with pancreatitis taught me just how little awareness there is around this condition (replace text to share your experiences).

It’s time for more people to understand the condition and make sure everyone affected knows where to find information and support.

Pancreatitis is so often diagnosed too late, which is why it’s so important to know the signs:

Acute pancreatitis

  • Abdominal pain, usually starting in the upper abdomen
  • Pain that can also travel through to the back
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Fever
  • A high heart rate, particularly in severe disease

Chronic pancreatitis

  • Pain
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhoea
  • Weight loss
  • Fatigue

By sharing this, I want to help more people recognise the signs and spot them early.

By sharing this, I want to help put pancreatitis on the map so we can drive better awareness, research and support for those affected.
