Together we can change things for others

25th July 2018

Husband and wife team, Alex and Nicola first donated to Guts UK when Alex’s father died of pancreatitis in December 2016, just one day before his 60th birthday. So often, families devastated by losing someone, search for something positive that might help them through their grief and help others.  At Guts UK, we fund the only Clinical Research Fellowship into pancreatitis in the UK and it remains a priority research area for the charity until we find a specific treatment and ultimately cure for this painful and potentially life threatening condition.  We believe Guts UK can make meaningful, clinical change that can bring real benefits to patients but we need to fund more research so we get there more quickly. And save lives.

Alex and Nicola return to fundraising for Guts UK with this year’s Ride London. Alex is taking on the 100 mile route and Nicola, who recently had her bicycle pinched (would you believe it!) is undeterred and going for the 46 mile route on Sunday. Alex’s mum and brother, Andrew, will be cheering in Green Park. Their dad I am sure would be immensely proud of all of them. Together we can change things for others.
