Guts UK/BSG Trainee Awards – Individual Applications

Applications should be completed through the form below by 5pm 11th September 2023. Applications received after this time will not be considered.

This grant is open to UK-based gastroenterology specialty trainees who hold a National Training Number and who would like to conduct research or audit/Quality Improvement in any area of gastroenterology (including pancreatology and hepatology) or nutrition in relation to gastroenterology.

We strongly encourage applications that are aligned to our current research priorities which can be found on our website.

Please provide a simple description of the proposed research using clear lay terminology. This will be used by Guts UK when describing your work to the public and should include the following:

• The area of clinical need you are addressing, e.g., information on the condition(s) being researched its prevalence and impact – background

• How this research will benefit patients in the near future
