Guts UK is delighted to be hosting a free online event to help people get to grips with diverticular disease. This common digestive condition affects 1 in 3 people (increasing to 1 in 2) during their lifetime, yet so many people have never heard of it.
At Guts UK, we provide expert, evidence-based information about diverticular disease. Diverticula are permanent pockets that develop in the bowel and in some people, they can cause symptoms. Having symptoms is diagnosed as diverticular disease.
The event takes place on Thursday 16 October 2025 from 5.30pm to 6.45pm. It is a virtual event and will take place on Zoom.
Registration is free, but places are limited. Sign up today via Eventbrite.
We’ll be joined by panellists who’ll share their expertise on diverticular disease, including Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, Dr Dale Vimalachandran and General Practitioner, Dr Jonathan Simpson. We’ll also be joined by two experts by experience, Linda and Jonald who both live with the condition.
There’ll be an opportunity to hear from each of our guests and to ask them any questions you might have about diverticular disease.
Read more about Diverticular Awareness Week, which takes place 6-12 October. For information about symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and more, read or download our evidence-based patient information.
