Mrs Patel summarises:
“I collaborated with our hepatology consultant team to create a dedicated care pathway for patients with autoimmune hepatitis. At the heart of this pathway are pharmacist-led clinics that help patients start, adjust, and monitor their medications safely. Using a dedicated pharmacist email helpline has provided improved daily support and communication for our patients.”
What did it feel like to win this award?
“This award is a lovely recognition of the impact pharmacists can have on patient outcomes, and I hope it will support in raising awareness of our skill set and role as key members of the multi-disciplinary team.”
