Guts UK/Falk Foundation 2026 Higher Specialty Trainee Audit/Quality Improvement Awards Application Form

The Falk Foundation and Guts UK invite applications from UK-based gastroenterology higher specialty trainees who would like to conduct an audit or quality improvement project in any area of gastroenterology (including hepatology and pancreatology) or nutrition. The maximum award is £10,000. Ensure you have read the Higher Specialty Trainee award's criteria and the Guts UK Grants Terms and Conditions and have raised any pertinent issues with relevant staff.

Applications should be completed through the form below. A PDF version of your application will be sent to your email address after you submit the form (check your spam/junk folder if you have not received it and please ensure you use an email account that will allow the delivery of the PDF attachment). Please print this off, obtain all relevant signatures (Applicant, Supervisor and Finance Officer signatures required) and email a scanned signed full application to research@gutscharity.org.uk by Monday 2 February 2026 at 5pm.

The application will only be considered complete once we receive the signed version. Applications received after this time will not be considered.

Capital items (for example, laptops and other equipment) will not be funded under this grant scheme nor will any contribution to salary costs or higher degree fees for the applicants. Conference-related costs are not eligible for funding. Travel costs related to conducting the project can be included (for example site visits, focus groups etc.). All costs must be in UK pounds (£).
