The 5th Liverpool National Pancreas Patient and Public Forum

People affected by pancreas diseases, including pancreatic cancer, are invited to attend the 5th National Pancreas Diseases Patient and Public Forum, which is being held on Friday 18th May 2018 at The Foresight Centre, Liverpool.

The event will be an opportunity to meet fellow patients, carers and health professionals to share information and experiences. The theme of the Forum is ‘Using the patient voice to influence care, education, research and outcomes’.

The day will be an opportunity to update, inform, discuss and debate current research in pancreatic disease, current service provision (including pain management), and current NICE guideline development.

The Forum is supported by the NIHR Liverpool Pancreas Biomedical Research Unit, the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust (RLBUHT), and the University of Liverpool.

The event  is organised by the Pancreatic Patients’ Representative Group, a patient group associated with the Research Development and Innovation (RD&I) Department of the RLBUHT. The RD&I Department’s mission is to support, advance, and promote clinical and translational research at RLBUHT. The Pancreatic Patients’ Representative Group ensures the involvement of patients and the public in the work of RD&I Department.
