Wilko Johnson Signed Guitar Auction – ENDED

27th September 2017

Auction has ended

The guitar was succesfully auctioned for £1,272!

Guts UK is auctioning off a signature Wilko Johnson Fender Telecaster signed by the man himself, Wilko Johnson. If you’re not sure who Wilko is then I’m sure some of this will jog your memory. His extensive career as a musician, songwriter, guitarist started in the 70’s and incredibly, still going at the age of 70! He’s played with some major artists and has been in some very iconic bands including Dr Feelgood and The Blockheads.

You also might recognise his face from the HBO adaptation of Game of Thrones, in which he played the silent executioner, Ilyn Payne, who hastily put an end to Sean Bean.

We’d love to see a return of his character.

We met Wilko when he launched our Gastrocycle event where he signed our guitar and was happy to be photographed alongside Dr Emmanuel Huguet from Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, who he was able to thank personally for his role in his recovery from cancer.
